South Wales-based Wales & West Utilities (WWU) is a leading UK regulated gas distribution business with 21,000 miles of gas distribution pipelines. Covering Wales and the South West of England; WWU serves a population of 7.4 million.
In 2005 WWU needed to re-launch their Web site to provide the public with an improved experience in the following areas:
- Customer interactivity and feedback
- Ease of navigation and use
- Enhanced design and use of images
WebWand worked with WWU to produce a great looking site that has a simple navigation system allowing users to access the information they needs quickly and easily. Feedback and other online forms were also added to improve customer interactivity.
Additionally, WWU needed an improved method of updating and editing the site. They chose WebWand to redesign, host and maintain their Web site because WebWand offers a proven personalized service ensuring that update requests are dealt with in a timely and cost-effective manner. WebWand's content management system is employed to automate many of the day-to-day processes.
Currently, the WWU website is on its second version and WWU retained WebWand to complete the project. WebWand also designed and maintains both the WWU Intranet and their
Investor Relations website.
